Bleeding and Shock, Long Board, Short Board, Splinting, Long bone air
traction and KED board (Kendrick Extrication Device)

E.M.T.
certification is valid for 2 years, and you are required to attend ongoing training,
that we
refer to as "44 Plans" 4 times a year; December, March, June,
September, a instructor conducts a 4 hour refresher course at this training.
Our training institute is North Memorial out of Redwood Falls.

You need 48 hours
of ongoing training on various tasks and equipment you will use
out in the field, at an accident scene, or medical emergency when you are
paged to go to a scene.

Currently our on-call
shift is 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. (12 hour shift) Monday to Friday
-
Saturday and
Sunday we are on-call from 6 A.M. to 6 A.M. (24 hour shift)

We sign up for
five (5) weekdays and two (2) weekends
-
Monday to Friday 6
A.M. to 6 P.M. the first three (3) crew members to arrive - go.

In addition we
attend extra training given by different agencies all over the state of
Minnesota.

We do monthly
refreshers with our equipment in our rig and most members have attended the "Meth Training Talk" by Scott Hable of
the Renville County Sheriffs

In the fall of 2004 we
had 4 new members join after going thru the 120 hour course. They are:
